SENIOR BUYER
Rotating Machinery Services, a leader in the Turbomachinery Engineering Industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer. This individual should have posses a background in procurement and materials management with experience in a mechanical production environment and have experience in sourcing:
• Raw materials
• Machining and fabrications of industrial equipment
• Forgings
• Hardware to print
• Bearings
• Gear boxes
• As well as many other industrial items

The candidate will be responsible for:
Contract negotiations and order placement
Implementation of cost saving strategies
Mange Materials deliveries, supplier quality and costing issue
Supplier management and development
Inventory maintenance
Shipping and receiving
Development of department processes and improvements

Experience required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
Strong organization, negotiating and computer skills required
5 years experience in Purchasing and material management required
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

While Rotating Machinery Services employs engineers, drafters, project managers, purchasing and administration staff, and RMS Powers Solutions employs various levels of shop and mechanical personnel the below listed positions will be initially viewed. Applicants with turbomachinery experience are preferred; however, others will be considered if their skills and background are appropriate. A BS in engineering is required for engineering and project management positions.
